| Mets Give Willie Randolph New Contract In recent days talk was growing in New York about the lack of talk surrounding talks between the Mets and Willie Randolph and a new contract. Randolph's existing contract paid him around $700,000 and ended after the 2007 season. No longer. The Mets and Randolph agreed to a new three year deal worth $5.65 million. From the AP, his 2007 salary will be doubled to over $1 million. Great job, Randolph has proved to be a good manager for the Mets. |
