The Mets have signed Guillermo Mota to a two year, $5 million deal. Minaya noted how Mota accepted responsibility for his mistake and did not try and have an excuse for it.

So Mota will serve his 50-game suspension and will likely return to the bullpen afterwards...depending on if he needs some time in the minors to freshen up.
