The Mets offered arbitration to RP Roberto Hernandez and RP Guillermo Mota, according to
Rotoworld. Hernandez won't be back and looks like he'll be heading to Cleveland. As RW points out, Mota could end up accepting arbitration, sign an incentive based deal, serve his 50-game suspension and start from the bottom again.
If Hernandez does sign with the Indians, "...the Mets [will receive] the Indians' second-round pick and a supplemental first-rounder."
The Mets did not offer arbitration to SP Steve Trachsel, OF Cliff Floyd, 2B Chris Woodward and RP Darren Oliver.
