Carlos Delgado Remains a Met

It was announced yesterday that Carlos Delgado will not request a trade, as was possibly since being traded in the midst of a long-term contract last off-season. He will remain a Met for the length of his current contract and will be one of the kegs in a Mets team that hopes to reach the World Series in 2007.

Re: Carlos Delgado Remains a Met

The Mets are already the frontrunners in 2007, so it'd be illogical to request a trade to another team...

Carlos Delgado changes his team like a new pair of jeans. He should change teams at least once or twice over the next couple of years.

Re: Carlos Delgado Remains a Met

He appears to be happier as a Met then he ever was as a Jay or Marlin, but you're right- he'll probably demand a trade in 2 or 3 years.

I hope you were being sarcastic. Delgado spent 12 seasons in Toronto, signed with Florida and then was traded to New York.
