With nothing much planned in the near future, baseball-wise, four New York Mets underwent surgery today.
Chris Woodward had work done on a torn labrum in his left shoulder. Carlos Delgado had surgery on his right wrist due to carpal tunnel syndrome. Aaron Heilman underwent surgery for tennis elbow in his right arm (throwing arm). Finally, Paul Lo Duca had surgery on his left thumb to repair a ligament tear.
Delgado will undergo another procedure in the next week or so to repair tennis elbow in his right arm. Cliff Floyd will have surgery on his left achilles later this week.
Woodward and Floyd are free agents.

Sportsline says each of the four players who had surgery today are expected to be primed and ready for spring training next year.
