Not only is Delgado, who has 9 RBI in the series, one of if not the biggest performer at the plate for the Mets, but according to this story, he's even more responsible for New York's success. "Delgado isn't just a uniter at the dinner table," the authors says. "He's a uniter in the dugout, where he conducts a perpetual in-game tutorial on hitting -- specifically, how to hit the pitcher who's on the mound at a specific, given time."

So what do you think? Is Delgado the most vital component to the NY Mets success this season?

I don't think you can say Delgado is the most important but he surely is a large part of the Mets success this year. His prescence alone calms Carlos Beltran down and allows him to play without the pressure he did last year. He's a clubhouse leader and is someone guys like Reyes and Wright can go to for help on hitting or whatever it may be. He's definintely a tremendous player.

His explosion this off-season is tremendous and even better, he's doing it in his first post-season.

If the Mets win this series, he's the MVP. He's done so much for the Mets- he hits monstrous homers and gets a lot of clutch RBI hits. But you can't ignore the contribution, Beltran has made during the LCS. So I don't think that Delgado is the only reason the Mets have been successful this October.
