Ed Coleman of WFAN radio in NY is reporting that El Duque pulled a calf muscle running in the outfield a short time ago. He is now getting an MRI. If he can't go tomorrow night, John Maine would start game 1....WOW! And if he's out for any extended period, the Mets are looking at the likes of Dave Williams or Oliver Perez as a game 4 starter.

What the hell is going on here? From all sounds, Orlando probably won't pitch. If he does, Maine will be on call anyway.

The official post-season roster won't be set until tomorrow morning so they have until then to figure out what to do.

It's not like the Dodgers aren't hurting either. Brad Penny barely will be able to pitch at all (if he even does from the pen) and Nomar's all banged up.
