MetsBlog is acknowleding the local buzz surrounding who will make the Mets post-season roster. According to the blog, this is what the final cuts will look like:

Catcher's Paul LoDuca, Ramon Castro and Mike DiFelice
Infielder's Carlos Delgado, Jose Valentin, Jose Reyes, David Wright, Julio Franco & Chris Woodward
Outfielder's Cliff Floyd, Carlos Beltran, Endy Chavez, Shawn Green and Michael Tucker

Starters Orlando Hernandez, Tom Glavine, John Maine, Steve Trachsel
Relievers Billy Wagner, Aaron Heilman, Guillermo Mota, Chad Bradford, Pedro Feliciano and Roberto Hernandez

They will be carrying three catchers so right-handed bat Ramon Castro can be used as a pinch hitter.

Due to all the injury mess, John Maine will start Game 1. Orlando Hernandez is NOT on the roster.

Oliver Perez and LHP Royce Ring are on the roster.

C Mike DiFeliece is not on the roster.

So they add the extra starter and reliever to sure up the pitching. Let's hope Perez isn't forced to start a playoff game. hehe, boy who whould have thunk that.
