Carl Crawford Jealous of Jose Reyes

This article is from a couple of weeks back but it's still a bit funny in hindsight. Notice that Jose Reyes stole his 60th base of the year yesterday by the way

St. Petersburg Times: Blind to a Star

Quote:
Jose Reyes is like everything to people right now, and I don't see anything different that he's doing and I'm doing. But nobody knows what I'm doing and he's like a big megastar, the best player ever, the most exciting player and all that stuff. And I'm like, 'Okay, what's the difference?'
In the article, Torii Hunter notes how he's told Crawford how big a star he'd be if he was in a bigger market. In that sense, you have to agree with the guy.

However, he does come off a bit jealous in his remarks about Reyes.

Nothing major, but just a funny side story as the season nears its end.

Re: Carl Crawford Jealous of Jose Reyes

It has to be frustrating for Crawford playing in a place where he knows for certain he will never, ever be on a winning team. I don't know if he has signed with them long term, and if he has he had to know that when he did, but if were him I'd get out of there when I could. He is a good, young player and doesn't seem to be the type to mouth off.

Re: Carl Crawford Jealous of Jose Reyes

He'll probably end up on the Cubs on way or another.

The Cubs like speed.
