I can only scratch my head in disbelief after last nights loss Manuel should have let Johan finish the game I'm sure he had better stuff left than what Frankie came out throwing. And how does Luis Castillo fall down the bullpen stairs and sprain his ankle. That game should have been so in the bag

So sad but true. I don't feel confident about them taking their upcoming Padres series. After all they lost to the Nationals more times than not this year

well if it makes you feel better we've dropped 3 straight to the giants and rockies

No comparison there. At least Rockies and Giants are at the top for the wild card. It does make me feel a little better obviously Mets didn't take advantage cuz they still 10 games back

Oh when the season started I had high hopes they where going to put the pieces together. I thought the aquisitions of JJ Putz on the DL all year and Frankie Rodriquiz too many blown saves were going to solve the bullpen problem. Then it turned into a starting pitching problem with nodody except Santana finding the stike zone with any regularity. Then the injuries. Training staff needs to come up with some better conditioning because this is too many muscle tears for one team to have. It keeps getting worse and last nights Padres game was a prime example. I really hope its not my karma

To tell you the truth I expected a big year from the Mets. Their biggest problem was there bullpen, they went out and really fixed it. They put in Putz and K-rod, two go to relievers. Like you said, after that it was the starting pitching that went down. Honestly the trainers really REALLY need to rethink whatever they are doing with their players. That disabled list looks like an All-Star roster.
