Mets growing play-off beards

The Mets are battling their way back into postseason contention, they have a four-game win streak and are currently playing the best baseball now that they have all season.
This group is persevering through injuries to key players and front office drama, but is determined to give it all they have for the remainder of the season.
Mike Pelfrey, Brian Schneider, Omir Santos, David Wright, Alex Cora, Angel Pagan, Jeff Francouer, and some others are growing their facial hairs and this will continue until they break back over the .500 mark.

Re: Mets growing play-off beards

Philadelphia
Florida- 7.0
Atlanta- 8.0
New York- 10.5
Washington- 27.0

Every day the NL East is seeming more like a lost cause. Not to mention the Mets are 5.5 games back in the NL wild card. That isn't too bad, but still, my call is that the Mets miss the play-offs. Again.

Re: Mets growing play-off beards

Those beards are going to be pretty long by next season (if they're lucky).

Yes, they are serious. They believe in themselves the article said.
Back in 2007 they shaved their heads in a sign of unity. They went on to have amost two months of great baseball. I dont know how far behind they were though.
