Tom Glavine returned to the mound last night after two weeks, stemming from a feared blood clot in his pitching shoulder. Thankfully, he's healthy. In his first game back, in Houston, he went five innings, gave up seven hits with six earned runs, walked two and struck out five.

Not great by any means but he improve once he gets back in the groove of things. Afterall, he is slated to be the #2 starter in the post-season.

You're exactly right, EmpireWF. After he has been on the DL for about two weeks he hasn't seen the mound in days. You have to give him some time to get his footwork right and develop that wind-up again. I guess you can compare him to a wind-up toy that hasn't been played with for the past decade. You have to crank him up and get his engine going. The first time he might be weak but then you crank him up again and add a drop of oil and he is ready to go!
