| Re: Knicks select Renaldo Balkman Isiah usually is great on draft day but taking Balkman with the 20th pick was just insane. No team was going to take him in the 1st round and they simply could have had him with the 29th pick if they liked him so much. Passing on the UConn PG, Williams was jaw droppingly horrid. How could you pass up a PG who was a lottery type of talent? Then they go and take a PG later on who's not even that athletic. |

| Re: Knicks select Renaldo Balkman This brings me back to last season's main question concerning Isiah Thomas and the New York Knicks:Was Isiah sober when he made this move? This new rookie has the same kind of future as the Knicks' draft pick a few years ago: Frank Williams. Who? |

| Re: Knicks select Renaldo Balkman The Knicks came out and said they drafted Balkman with the 20th pick because they believed the Suns were about to pick him with the 21st pick. However, the Suns said that once Cary (sp?) was taken with the 16th pick, they traded the 21st pick. Confusion sucks, especially when it's in the offices of a sports franchise. |

| Re: Knicks select Renaldo Balkman The Knicks made a bad choice of selecting Balkman at the 20th pick and they have been one of the worst teams ever since this decision. I'm not saying he was the reason for all of this, but their previous two seasons could have been better with a smarter draft pick. Renaldo Balkman is not a bad player (one of my favorites when South Carolina won the NIT back-to-back years) but was not worthy of a top 20 pick. Last edited by Lefty Noob : 08-20-2008 at 08:53 AM.
