It was only a matter of time before Stephon Marbury was again the center of attention.
Minutes after the door swung open for Media Day, the controversial Knicks point guard was surrounded by microphones and notebooks. He was expected to be long gone. With the organization intent on remaking the roster, a divorce was supposed to have been finalized.
On some level, Marbury loved the attention.

"If they feel like I'm a problem and they want to go in another direction, that's OK with me," he said. "I'm fine with that. I don't have a problem with playing someplace else. Everyone knows how much I love New York, but now it's different because the business part of it has come into play.
