In a funny story, it's come out that one of the terms of his reassignment in the organization is that Isiah Thomas cannot contact any of his former players.

"According to the report, there is concern that Thomas, if allowed to have any contact with the team, could either willingly or unwillingly undermine its new coach. Thomas acquired all the players on the current Knicks roster as team president.

But the agreement does not prohibit Thomas from speaking to Madison Square Garden chairman James Dolan, according to the report.

Thomas does not have an official title. He reports directly to Walsh, who said no player brought up Thomas' name during last week's exit meetings Thursday."

Thomas was reassigned within the organization.

He has no employees under him.

He cannot have contact with the players.

He has no official title.

So why exactly is he still on the payroll, anyway?

Ugh, amazing. Have you ever heard of a guy who plain failed at his job the way Zeke did...and NOT be fired? What redeeming qualities has he had?

I suspect his title will have something to deal with being an athletic supporter.

Gotham is right- Thomas must have pictures. It is unfathomable that he is still employed in any capacity by the Knicks.
