Cool Wilkens rips Isiah

"Me and the GM [Thomas] were never on the same page," Wilkens was quoted.

He said he opposed trading Keith Van Horn for Tim Thomas barely a month after taking over. "I didn't think it was a good trade, and that made it difficult for me," Wilkens said. "The next year, I hoped things would be different, but they weren't ... If I had it to do over again, it's the one job that I've had that I probably wouldn't have taken."

What a surprise! Another coach who was on a "different" page than Isiah when it came to evaluating talent.

That's because Thomas is reading from a comic book.

Re: Wilkens rips Isiah

My friends (also Knick fans) and I will NEVER understand why Isiah felt the need to trade KVH for Tim Thomas. It was apart of a deal that they also traded Doleac and received Nazr Mohammed. Alright I guess...but no. KVH and Marbury were clicking and they were playing pretty damn well.

Isiah just wanted to keep turning over the roster and I guess he finally accomplished that feat once Kurt Thomas and Michael Sweeteny were dealt last year.

Re: Wilkens rips Isiah

How many players have the Knicks gone through in the past five years? I still remember that Marcus Camby for Antonio McDyess trade.

I liked Keith Van Horn when he suited up for the New Jersey Nets. Where is he these days? I remember seeing him in Dallas, then Milwaukee. Where he at, dog?
