Isiah Blames Fans for Missed Layups

Yesterday, we filled you in on Isiah's latest batty actions. Apparently, he stepped to a number of fans and blamed them for the Knicks' poor play.

But now, from the New York Post, here's another quote from the exchange, one that might go down even in the increasingly jaded halls of Knicks history:
According to Altschuler, Thomas said, "We're missing layups because you're booing." Altschuler, who worked 16 years for CBS News, said Thomas turned to make his stream of remarks in the third and fourth quarters, directing it to the first couple of rows.
Amen to Isiah for taking a stand against the real problem. I guess hostile home crowds could affect that level of basic execution -- if that player were seven years old, lacking in talent, and didn't have a coach who could convince him to tune it out. If the Knicks are that, then maybe people should consider scalping their season tickets, instead of showing up with even the most basic expectations.

Re: Isiah Blames Fans for Missed Layups

Is this latest loss, to the lowly Sonics, enough to get the ball rolling? the only thing it seems that will get him fired if there were actually no fans in the building to boo. Knick fans should organize a boycott of the Garden to make this happen-I am surprised nobody has done it yet.

How is it that this guy still has his job. He is costing the team money every day.

Cool Re: Isiah Blames Fans for Missed Layups

He even ran the franchise into the ground worse than most thought he would when he took over. Most people couldn't be this bad an executive if they tried.

Re: Isiah Blames Fans for Missed Layups

Until he gets to the point where fans stop coming, he will continue to have a job.
