Yesterday, we filled you in on Isiah's latest batty actions. Apparently, he stepped to a number of fans and
blamed them for the Knicks' poor play.
But now, from the
New York Post, here's another quote from the exchange, one that might go down even in the increasingly jaded halls of Knicks history:
According to Altschuler, Thomas said, "We're missing layups because you're booing." Altschuler, who worked 16 years for CBS News, said Thomas turned to make his stream of remarks in the third and fourth quarters, directing it to the first couple of rows.
Amen to Isiah for taking a stand against the real problem. I guess hostile home crowds could affect that level of basic execution -- if that player were seven years old, lacking in talent, and didn't have a coach who could convince him to tune it out. If the Knicks are that, then maybe people should consider scalping their season tickets, instead of showing up with even the most basic expectations.
