According to a Stephon Marbury confidant, Donald, age 69, attended last night's game and left the arena because of chest pains. Donald was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died of an apparent heart

For once, the Knicks don't deserve blame. Someone who was there in Marbury's family told them not to tell him. From Newsday:

A member of the family informed the Knicks that Donald was taken to the hospital, but, according to Supranowitz, asked that the team not tell Stephon during the game.

That seems odd. You'd think Marbury would've wanted to leave the game to be with his dad in his final moments, and you'd at least think a family member would want to give him that option. Sad situation all around, but I guess its hard to criticize since it's impossible to know how you'd react were you the family member faced with a situation like this.
