Re: Is Larry Brown for real? Well, look at this this way. Maintaining the status quo isn't doing this team any good. Maybe he thought by shaking up the lineup and putting Woods into the game in his hometown, he'd get a better effort. Maybe he thought Woods would play at a higher level than Rose because of the excitement created by having the chance to play in front of his hometown crowd. Heck, at this point in the Knicks season, who can blame Brown for just throwing stuff against the wall and seeing if anything sticks?

Re: Is Larry Brown for real? I'm with lefty noob on this one. Brown is trying to do the best he can with the crap he has. Why not shuffle the lineup? Nothing seems to get this team motivated enough to play a game with complete effort. I'm not sure I wouldve sat Rose down the whole game, but you can't fault Brown for trying SOMETHING different.

A guy's hometown shouldn't be a criteria. He did the same thing with David Lee ( I forgot which game). Just have some method to your madness - that's all I ask. Even though the Knicks are a disaster, Marbury, Francis, Curry, Rose, Richardson are not exactly CBA talent. They should have more than 15 wins. They play no defense at all - a sure sign that the coach is doing a bad job. At 10 million a year, he should at least get the team to try, don't you think?

Re: Is Larry Brown for real? You can't put all of their defensive woes on Brown alone. It's not like they have a roster of defensive stalwarts. They have a ton of offensive minded players. Marbury, Francis, Curry, Crawford, Richardon, Rose. This terrible season is a classic case of a team effort. From the wizard of transactions Isiah Thomas to the last man on the bench.
