The New York Jets signed unrestricted free agent cornerback Donald Strickland on Wednesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Strickland appeared in 14 games for the 49ers last season, starting three, and finished with 28 tackles and five passes defensed. He originally joined the Niners in 2006 after spending time with the Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts.
The six-year veteran out of Colorado was a third-round pick by the Colts in the 2003 NFL Draft and has accumulated 147 tackles, two interceptions and 15 passes defensed in 49 career games.
