It was a waste to sign Ramsay at all!

Why did the Jets even trade for and sign Patrick Ramsay, wasnt it kind of a waste? No matter what he does he never was going to have any chance to be better then the #3 QB on the team, that was known many months ago, and they already had Bollinger who has been in the NFL a long time for that.

Welcome to GTG temper...

When Ramsey was acquired, I believe they had no clue if Pennington would be ready for the season or not. He was simply a safety-net so to speak.

Welcome aboard Temper...man I can feel the love you got going for old Ramsey. I don't think he has much going for him either, but what's your take on the new kid Clemons?

I think Clemens is extremely talented and could overtake Chad as the starter this year even. Not to start the year though, it would be later in the year if Chad opens the door.

Is Ramsay at least better than Bollinger for the #3 slot? Then again, ol' Brooks did have himself a nice game last night...

Cool Re: It was a waste to sign Ramsay at all!

Let's see what Ramsey does. Pre-season doesn't mean anything. Look at Browning Nagle. He had a great pre-season and the Jets were supposed to win the Super Bowl with him. How did that work out?

Don't remind me of Nagel...not only did he have a great pre-season, but he had a few great games early on (one of +400 yards passing)...I stocked up on Nagel rookie cards over that other QB Brett Favre...dumb move on my part. Last I saw Nagel he was playing for the Orlando Predators in the AFL a few years ago.
