OK, now this is getting weird.
Despite a report in the New York Daily News that the guaranteed $6 million in base salary that receiver Laveranues Coles is due to earn from the Jets will be reduced by whatever he earns elsewhere, Dave Hutchinson of the Newark Star-Ledger has clarified for us that Coles has walked away from the guaranteed payment.
So, in other words, Coles gave up $6 million guaranteed in search of even more.
So, in other words, the Jets owe him nothing.

There doesnt appear to be any reason for this. So either Coles thinks he can get a whole lot more elsewhere, or he is unhappy, really unhappy with the Jets.

well at the moment the Jets dont have even a good QB to speak of

If I remember right he wasnt too happy with Brett Favre. He was upset that they let Pennington go.
Seems like there is a lot of unhappiness in that locker room, players saying they were promised things they didnt get. They released Chris Baker.
Mangini is gone now, but maybe its the owner thats the problem.
Just speculating.
