The New York Jets have signed Rex Ryan, defensive coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens, to a 4 year contract as head coach of the team.
It is thought that it is similar to the 4 year contract Spagnuolo signed with the St. Louis Rams.

not just sure how good this hire is yet ..... i believe Billick was long believed to be the brains behind that defense and he wasnt gone long enough to really test Ryan

Anyone involved in the Ravens defense system is most likely a very good football mind. So I think this should turn out good for the Jets.
