Kind of disturbing news (to me) coming out of the New York Jets locker room. It would appear that the players themselves are not happy with Brett.
Thomas Jones said that Favre's playing warranted a benching. He said that they were a team and win as a team but if you are hurting the team you need to go out, and that you cant win if you turn the ball over.
Favre had 9 interceptions and 2 td passes in the last 5 games.
One player said if he comes back, he cant come back half-heartedly and that he needed to be there with them in mini camps and training camp.
Another veteran player described Favre as "distant" and that when he was at the Jets practice facility he would spend his downtime in an office designated for him. He said there was a lot of resentment against Favre, because he never socialized or went out to dinner with the rest of them.
This does not sound like the Brett Favre I knew in the past.

That is a telling stat...but in Favre, you know what you are getting...a miracle win one week, a critical mistake the next...he a QB not a game manager....there is a difference...the Jets are used to game managers not real QBs

He passes left, right, down the middle, any where and everywhere.
Actually, I suppose Goth means he doesnt take the safe throws. He plays to win, not just get by.

I think its expected to be like that . I'm sure if he was in his early years in his career with the Jets it would of been a different story there , but it ain't and this isn't the Packers. I don't think any QB coming to his end will ever totally be accept by another team unless he SUPERMAN.
