Brett's having fun

Brett's not thinking about next season. He's having too much fun this season and is centered on playing the Titans on Sunday.
The Jets are alone atop the NFC East for the first time in 7 years with much of the credit going to Favre.
After a mistake-filled rough patch a few weeks ago, Favre has been solid lately. He's second in the AFC with a 93.0 quarterback rating and most importantly, he hasn't thrown an interception in two weeks. He went 26-of-33 for a season-high 78.8 completion percentage, throwing for 258 yards and two touchdowns in New York's 34-31 overtime victory at New England last Thursday.

Friends and family keep asking him about next year. If they were at the bottom of the heap instead of the top, bet he would know what his decision would be. He has to quit pretty soon and he knows it. But will he?

Re: Brett's having fun

I could imagine him going another year and why not? If he is still playing good and a team would sign him then what the heck right? If he wants he could probably keep playing until his skill really just drove into the ground and no one would sign him as a starter, then maybe he could play as a back-up for 1 or 2 years. Then maybe call it quits at the age of 46.

Hey you know what? I could see him playing and declining into a back-up osition until he is 46 if he wanted to. That of course is saying if he wanted to.
