He will battle Kellen Clemens for the starting job in training camp.

pennington's a good quarterback. i dont know why ny fans hate him so much. they even cheered when he got injured this year. completely classless

His arm isnt very strong. That's the biggest thing I guess.
But when fans cheer when a player gets hurt, yeah, its completely classless. Totally stupid. One of those things that really irritate me.

Yeah, that's the thing. Pennington's arm wasn't strong before all the injuries to his shoulder. Now its worse. He doesn't have an NFL arm anymore.

He doesn't have the arm to throw effective passes anymore. Chad's arm wasn't the greatest to start with like Lefty said but it was more than fine to be an NFL passer and he was in fact a very good quarterback when healthy. Now after two rotator cuff injuries his passes lack the necessary velocity and hang in the air which gives the defense a time to make a play on them. The thing about Chad is that he didn't make mistakes and was smart, that was his strong point but last year he looked horrible so if he's making stupid mistakes and is not physically able to be effective you've go to wonder what's the Jets ultimate goal with Pennington.
