As a Jets fan this bothers me. Vilma lives in my area and every single year he would go to my daughters elementary school and talk to the kids, sign autographs and answer questions ---for no reason other than he's a class guy.

If only all other pro athletes would take a page out of his book.

The Jets are the Jets. Vilma was their best player, but now he's done at this young age? This is why they will never win anything.

Vilma is a great guy and player...but not for the 3-4 where he struggle mightily. He'll be a pro-bowler with the Saints and Jet fans can continue to lament their bad luck.

I've said this before. Good coaches fit the system to the players instead of the reverse.

With their weak schedule, they Jets better be competitive this year or they should end the Tannenbaum-Mangenius era.
