According to a published report, a Jets employee was asked to stop videotaping the Patriots sideline during the first quarter of a game in Foxborough last season. Jets officials claim everything was above board.


"All filming at last year's Patriots game was done with pre-approval from the Patriots and in accordance with NFL rules," Bruce Speight, the Jets' senior director of media relations, told Newsday.


The Jets employee at the stadium was removed but the camera was not confiscated, according to the report. The employee's filming took place on the mezzanine level of the stadium.

i will say this to prove how unbiased a fan i am ..... to the best of my knowledge the rule states such taping cant be done from the sideline ...... but the Jets did it from the stands .... so maybe they didnt technically break the letter of the law

but they were still wrong imo ..... especially as it seems people claim the Pats were the only ones taping opposing coaches

letter of the law or not ........ the Jets are no better then the Pats as far as this goes

An NFL source told Newsday the league office is unaware of the incident, and that the Patriots did not bring it up during the investigation into the Jets' charges of illegal videotaping by the Patriots in September.

So it would make sense to bring this up while the pats were caught, right? but patriots didnt, why?

I highly doubt that, they were caught with their hand in the cookie jar, if the jets thing had any legs at all coach robot wouldve used that card a long time ago..

All im saying is the Patriots wouldve brought this up a long time ago if it had merit, theyve taken a lot of crap ( and rightfully so) for cheating so if Jets were just as guilty this wouldve been aired the same time or shortly after the Pats got caught..
