Coach Mangini officially made the move today announcing Kellen Clemens will start for the Jets at QB next week against the Washington Redskins.

The Chad Pennington era may be close to ending altogether.

Pennington said, "Coach made it clear that I'm not the villain here, and I'm not the only one to blame for the lack of our success or our problems, but he did feel like Kellen deserved a chance."

He may not be the villain, but he is being used as the scapegoat. A change at QB will not really help this team.

The change is not so much for this year but for the Jets future. At 1-7, they have to see if he's the future.

One thing he might do is open up the field. Other teams were stacking the box against the Jets, because Pennington couldn't throw the ball downfield.
