Jets Mangini exposed Pats Belichick's cheating Armed with counter-intelligence from Eric Mangini, the Jets apparently have succeeded in busting the Patriots' spy ring. A former assistant under Bill Belichick, Mangini arrived in New York last year with an insider's knowledge of the Patriots' sign-stealing surveillance tactics and he shared the dirty little secret with members of the Jets' organization, a person with knowledge of the matter informed the Daily News yesterday. It wasn't until the fifth Mangini-Belichick showdown - last Sunday - that the Jets were able to catch the Patriots. Tipped off by Jets security, an NFL security official confiscated a video camera and tape from a Patriots employee at the Meadowlands, and the evidence is believed to be damning. Commissioner Roger Goodell hasn't made a final decision, according to a high-level source, but he wants to resolve the issue ASAP. A league spokesman refuted an ESPN report last night that said Goodell already has determined that the Patriots violated league rules.-- NY Daily News Eric Mangini exposes Bill Belichick's spy games

Re: Jets Mangini exposed Pats Belichick's cheating There could never be a coach so bad as to want to bring back Herm Edwards, a guy so conservative that a casino could him a comp voucher and he'd go home with it in his pocket rather than risk it.

It is just stupid. Baseball managers give signals by mixing them in with a dozen other motions. Why can't football be the same ??? Now stop picking on me Nuke, you're gonna make me cry ... everyone look away please.

Re: Jets Mangini exposed Pats Belichick's cheating I'm not picking on you LSC. I'm just saying that if you all for cheating in sports and trashing the rules then I think you would be happy if Bill Belichick brought a bazooka on the field next week and fired on the Charger sideline. By rights there is no rule against bringing bazookas on the field right? So why not? Why not? Why not?

Everyone else was right and I was wrong, videotaping is against the rules. Eisen on Access made that quite clear last night. You can steal opponents signals, just not with video tape is the impression I got. So next question, how will they be disciplined? And if there are such hard feelings between Mangini and Belichick then why would he video tape against the Jets. Surely he knew Mangini was going to squeal (dont blame him here) Is he that arrogant? Do these guys take a pill for arrogance or do they sprinkle it on their oatmeal? Is Kraft upset because Bill did it or because they got caught? Teams will do anything they can to get an edge. Cant point fingers at the Pats because I am sure there are others doing stuff too. Probably the Cowboys
