NY Jets vs. Baltimore Ravens

What better a team do play when it's probable your starting QB won't be available. Note the sarcasm. Chad Pennington may or may not play (head coach Eric Mangini should be in charge of National Intelligence)...if he can't go, Kellen Clemons will make his debut as a starter in the NFL (Jets and Giants...like brothers).

The Jets looked almost clueless against the Pats in week 1, with Tom Brady passing at will. This week they'll have to deal with Steve McNair and Willis McGahee on the ground.

Baltimore make their home debut but they may be without leader Ray Lewis. He said he had a triceps injury but the team hasn't confirmed.

Can the Jets put their stock on Clemons shoulders and beat the Ravens? I don't see why not.

Re: NY Jets vs. Baltimore Ravens

There is absolutely no way possible in this universe the Jets can beat the Ravens sunday...that's the bad news. Can you imagine D'BUSTashaw Ferguson trying to stop the Ravens Defensive Ends? He couldn't stop a speedrush from Ashley Simpson. So I guess you have to look at the the bright side...we get to see the brilliant 3-4 scheme in place! I mean talk about forcing a square peg in a round hole! This 3-4 delusion Mangini is playing is the absolute perfect scheme to make all of his best defensive players completely useless at their positions. Even the pathetic Raven offense will run roughshod over what is one of the worst defenses in the the NFL! I seriously think this team would have been better off with Herm Edwards or even presidential candidate John Edwards at this point.

Re: NY Jets vs. Baltimore Ravens

I wonder how the Ravens are handling the question of who will start at QB for the Jets. Are they preparing for both Pennington and Clemens or one or the other?

Re: NY Jets vs. Baltimore Ravens

The Jets came back in the 4th quarter and scored 10 unanswered points. Kellen Clemmons was leading the Jets back for a winning TD after the Jets defense came up with a big stop. The Jets were at about the 30 yard line in Baltimore territory. Clemmons through a rocket at McCareins in the endzone, he couldn't handle it and Ray Lewis intercepted it to end the game.

Earlier in the drize, McCareins dropped a perfect pass that would have brought them to the 1-3 yard line if he didn't score.

Cool Re: NY Jets vs. Baltimore Ravens

Personally, I think the Jets should cut McCariens and send a message that if you don't perform, you're gone.

I agree. Man, he just about single-handedly cost them that game. Almost bad enough to make me wonder if he wasn't trying to shave points.
