NY Jets vs. New England Patriots

The Jets open up their 2nd season under Eric Mangini in enemy territory when they play the Patriots next Sunday afternoon. The Jets are coming off a big surprise of a season where they made the playoffs. Now they have expectations to satisfy.

An opening week contest with the Patriots could play to an advantage. They get the road game before the Pats may have time to gel in regular season action. They play a Patriots defense without Rodney Harrison or Richard Seymour.

The Jets will need a big day from running backs Thomas Jones and Leon Washington. Pennington will have to be hitting his spots as well.

It's tough to beat the Patriots in their home unless you play 99% perfect.

Re: NY Jets vs. New England Patriots

the opening game was scary for the Pats last year against the Bills

this will also be the debut of Brady-Moss in a game so that is bound to have growing pains

the Pats will win easy .... 31-17

Can't wait to see what Jones can do behind that o-line, with Ferguson and Mangold opening up the holes. Especially with Seymore gone, and Harrison out of run support! New England better tighten those belts because something tells me they might have a tough time shutting down the Jets running game.

Jets driving down the field.

Just short of the first down (4th and a few inches) at midfield. Do they go for it?

Re: NY Jets vs. New England Patriots

Guess not, punt.

The Bradytriots will start at their own 9-yard line.

Pennington to Coles for the TD. Game is tied at 7 with 4:15 left in the second.
