About 35 hours before the NFL Draft commences, rumors are circulating about the New York Jets and possible draft day trades. The major names mentioned include WR Justin McCareins, LB Eric Barton and DB David Barrett.

Reports say the Jets are looking for at least a 4th round pick for McCareins. Other possibilities include the Jets trying to trade up for a player (particularly a CB, the majority of which will likely be gone by 25) in the first round.

Nobody in their right minds are is goint to give up a 4th rounder for McCariens. As a matter of fact, as a Jet fan, I would take anything for McCariens, including a ham sandwich.

I always liked Justin McCareins. But if they can trade up and get Calvin Johnson or someone, it would be justified.

That won't be happening.

If the Jets try and trade up, it would likely only be a few spots up for a corner. I can't see them trading up to get the TE.

Plus, I doubt they'd get a first round pick for any of the players they're rumored to be offering (I don't believe they're serious about getting rid of Vilma).
