When Joe Montana won his last 2 SuperBowls teams always touted how his arm didn't have the zing that it used to. Didn't bother him much although I can hear Goth loading his posting guns for the comparison!

Again if you can read defenses well, have those intangibles and are a leader of the team I think that makes up for not having a strong arm. Plus Chad's arm probably will be a bit stronger in 2007 for those of you who think you need a cannon-like arm. Once again, broadcasters and magazines compared Chad's arm to Drew Brees's in terms of power and I doubt the Saints are looking for a QB with a stronger arm right now. Can Chad win a SuperBowl for the Jets? Too many variables to make that claim. Dan Marino never won a SuperBowl for the 'Phins yet I doubt they regret picking him. You gents are certainly entitled to your views and you make some good points but Chad was great in 2006 so he gets my support and he got the Comeback Player of the Year award so it's not just me who is impressed with Chad. Yeah Carr might have a far stronger arm than Chad but can he read defenses, be strong leader and manage a game like him? I'd rather have those 3 things than just some guy who can throw the ball a bit farther.
EDIT: Speaking of arms, with spring training underway it's time to talk about the Mets starting pitching...i'm getting nauseous already!
