Cool 2 opposing Jet plans

These 2 Jet plans were in Newsday today: Ken Davidoff vs. Bob Glauber
I like Glauber's better. Any other opinions?

Re: 2 opposing Jet plans

Both have good points and bad points.

Here's my thoughts on the 4 questions both columns address:

1. Trade John Abraham?
I'm sure the Jets would love to keep him. He's a great player. But they just can't afford to. Send him packing and hope you can get value in return.

2. Draft Matt Leinart?
3. Trade for Patrick Ramsay?
Yes to one, no to the other. I'm sure Jets fans will have a preference one way or the other, but its absurd to do both. You can't worry so much about the QB position that you ignore other need areas.

4. Draft a running back?
Don't they still have Derrick Blaylock? I know Martin's getting up there in years, but you went out and got Blaylock for a reason. I think he proved in KC that he can be a No. 1 back, if given the shot. So give him the shot, already!

As for the other two points - signing McGinest isn't a good move for this team long-term, and I don't really know enough about Dewayne Robertson to comment one way or the other.

Re: 2 opposing Jet plans

I know a lot of Jet fans who don't think much of Blaylock and then there are those in KC who believe he's nothing more than a back-up RB. So RB can definitely be a position of interest in the draft.

However, unless Leinart or Young is there at 4, they MUST draft D'Brickashaw Ferguson. They have no line right now and he would add some stability.
