NY Jets Playoff Scenarios

With tonight's win in Miami, the Jets are now 9-6. Still shocking a bit to know this after everyone assumed they'd be awful this year. Anyway, here's how all the playoff scenarios work for them.

-Win vs. Oakland next week, 10-6, clinch wildcard.
-Loss vs. Oakland and
Cincinnati loss or tie and a Jacksonville loss OR
Cincinnati loss or tie and a Tennessee win OR
Denver loss and a Jacksonville loss ; any of these, they clinch the wildcard.

Seeding Purposes: If the Jets Win and Broncos Lose next week, the Jets will be the 5th AFC Seed. If the Broncos win and Jets win/lose, the Broncos will be the 5th seed due to a better conference record.

It's also funny how the Giants with the Coughlin/Manning/Barber/etc. debacle are grabbing all the headlines when the Jets were 4-12 last year and now poised to go 10-6 and a playoff berth. What a coaching job by Mangini and also a job to get all the has-beens/never was' out and replaced by fresh new players who can contribute. Sean Payton is the coach of the year but my vote goes to Mangini.
