Even if they lose one of the games I projected them winning, they have a 9-7 record. Is that good enough to get into the playoffs?

i would say atleast 9-7 is a very safe bet

they may lose to Buffalo, but they may also beat the Vikings

as for the playoffs, i think its a little early to tell just yet

i reallyy dont think they can take the East from the Patriots, so obviously that only leaves one of the two wild card spots

right now Devner and San Diego are both at 4-1 in the West so one of them should get one of the spots

that leaves Cincy, Jacksonville and the Jets currently fighting for the other

and dont count out Pitt or Kansas City

The Jets are looking much better this season than I expected.

I just picked up their yearbook for $5 on the streets of Manhattan. What a deal, for something the guy probably stole!

As a long suffering Jet fan ( I'm too young to remember the Namath Super Bowl team)- Legend is 100% right....This is historically the kind of game the Jets lose -a game they should win at home.

The Jets will lose at Buffalo, Im not sure about Detroit...as for 9-7 making the playoffs? No it wont be good enough. Jacksonville was 12-4 last year and Pittsburgh was 11-5 clinching the last two playoffs spots, so I dont see a sub-10 win team sneaking in, the leagues too good

I like what the Jets are doing and the direction that theyre headed in but right now in 2006 they simply are not good enough to win 10 games no matter who their opponents are. Now 7-9 even 8-8 is more reasonable but you cant look at a whole schedule and pick which games they win and which games they lose. Any team can beat any other team on any given sunday and with today's parity even more so. Now that works for the Jets but also against them. The Jets defense is horrendous if I had to pick their biggest weakness and their running game even with Leon Washington hasn't found its rhythm.

heh, well my predictions are still in line. They blew the Cleveland game but they came back and won the New England spot.

It seems they'd have to get at least 10 wins to get a playoff spot...or to guarantee they get one.
