The NHL is in discussion with the Yankees to have a regular season Islanders - Rangers game outdoors at Yankee stadium. That would be awesome. I would definitely go.

Hmm...outdoor ice hockey in the Bronx. If nothing else, it'd be a great publicity hound for the NHL.

Not enough. You need military assistance to make New York fans watch hockey. Im afraid the NHL is dead, reminiscent of that soccer league with the New York Cosmos. Sad, I like hockey.

Outdoor hockey is great. The Edmonton-Montreal game this year was so much fun and hugely popular. Nostalgia.
Is hockey really dead in NYC? You mean, no fans for the rangers?

Nope. I try to talk about hockey to some sports fans and they make a dissmissive gesture and say "its only good for the fights" then the discussion goes back to boring 3 hour and 45 minute baseball games. The Rangers were good last year as well and the media captial in the world forsook them. Thats a bad sign, a very bad sign. That strike was lethal to the NHL's existence and they blew it. Now theyll suffer pro-soccer's fate. Hockey isnt baseball in NYC where they can sacrifice infants in centerfield, set random fans on fire, have the scoreboard say "F**K YOU TO ALL FANS IN ATTENDANCE" and the stadiums would still be packed. Baseball players would probably get away with being drug dealers...whoops! They already do. Now you see why I want to move out of NYC, FAR away!!!

Ooops!!! I forgot to say that the NHL has one fan in New York Shi**y...ME! Ill be in attendance at the Yankee stadium game if it happens. Rangers all the way!!!
