some background on nolan:

After getting the Islanders into the playoffs in 2007, Nolan guided the club to a 35-38-9 finish last season. He finished his New York tenure with a 74-68-21 mark.

they say its cause they played the backup goalie against the rangers and diepetro didn't like it, garth snow is a moron, i stated this when he got the gm job you ran out a guy who could of fixed your organization when you brought him in and now its the old talent even the rangers dont want playing, such a pitty
