Islanders sign Robin Figren

The New York Islanders have signed LW Robin Figren.

According to Yahoo! Sports, "A native of Stockholm, Figren will spent the 2008-09 season in his homeland with Djurgardens of the Swedish Elite League before returning to North America for the final two years of his contract... The 20-year-old spent this past campaign with Edmonton of the Western Hockey League, recording 18 goals and 13 assists in 35 games. He also notched 10 tallies and 27 points in 62 contests with Calgary of the WHL in 2006-07." Good pickup for the Isles?
