dipietro's back

well, on the ice for practice anyway. No assurances he will play tonight vs. the Rangers.
His grandmother died earlier this week.
Dubielewicz seems to be playing well.

Cool Re: dipietro's back

If DP is ready, he has to play. Dubie manages to get it done - but I almost have 10 heart attacks watching him - he leaves too many rebounds and just isn't pretty.

I think the Islanders are 8-2 against the Devils and Rangers. It's just everybody else in the league we can't beat.

I disagreed with Nolan's choice to play Dubie but it made no difference. You can't win when you score 1 goal.

I wish Nolan would give regular power play time to the young kids. Their "top" lines barely even get shots off - much less score.

Re: dipietro's back

so why do you think he went with Dubie? It's the big question. They say Dipietro is not a quiet guy, that he is heard when he is upset, and that he is upset now. Did Dubie get rewarded for the last win? Is Snow upset with nolan?

Cool Re: dipietro's back

I think it was just a hunch. He took a chance, but it really wasn't that big a deal. DiPietro played last night and again, the team scored 1 goal. I don't care who your goalie is, you can't win scoring 1 goal a night.

I never thought I'd look back fondly at the Mark Parish and Oleg Kvasha days.
