defenseman Davison to Isles from SJ

and the islanders give them a 7th round draft pick for 2008.
part time enforcer is the first thing I read - do you need that Pundit?
Then blueline depth - he's versatile.
Sharks picked up Jody Shelley and no longer needed davison.
They say he's Simon's replacement. did somebody tell Simon?

Cool Re: defenseman Davison to Isles from SJ

We just needed bodies - Witt and Sutton are out and Bergeron was dealt. I know nothing about the Davison - although in his limitied minutes the other night, he looked okay.

I'm extremly disappointed that Satan is still on the team. It makes no sense.

Personally, I was disapointed to see Bergeron go, defensive lapses and all. He's got more goals than Trent Hunter in half the games.

Glad Simon is gone. Now Tambellini better start producing.

Re: defenseman Davison to Isles from SJ

Goodbye and good riddance to Begeron, one of the worst defensemen I have ever watched...he'll be out of hockey in 3 years tops. Simon wore out his welcome on the Island....we shouldve traded The Tank and Satan, but no one wanted them. Terrible game tonight but glad we won...although I don't think we can keep pace with Buffalo or Philly and the Caps are going to win a lot more games the rest of this season...I'd say our chances of making the playoffs are about 30%. Good to see Comrie get 2...now he's only a -18 for the season...with his stellar two-way play it's a wonder Snow didnt offer him a 15 year deal...he mustve been distracted by his inability to convince Hunter to sign only a 5 year deal...Hey all you mediocre players...if you can score 5-10 goals a year and are afraid to drive to the net then we have a place for you on the Island...come one, come all...we'll pay you good money to flirt with 8th place in the Eastern Conference all season...we're giving away long term deals here! Why go to a contending team for a year or two when we'll sign you for life?? Call 1-800-GO-ISLES and ask for Garth Snow...he's standing by and waiting to sign you now!

Snow wanted to make room to give Jeff Tambellini to play, plus my guess is behind the scenes Wang had enough of Simon.

Isles2279: How do you really feel about Bergeron - don't be shy....

I understand where your coming from. The reason I never hated him as much as you because when you have a team that can't score ANY goals, I value anyone who can put the puck in the net.

Anyway, he's water under the bridge.
