Cool Isles lose 4th straight

The Islanders lost at home to the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 and didn't score a goal until there was 3 minutes left in the game. They added another 30 seconds after but it was too little, too late.

How can you win when you only score 3 goals in 4 games? Yashin has been playing lousy again. He needs to step it back up. Maybe with this extra money the Islanders have to play with, they can add a goal scorer - and I don't mean Randy Robataille. But someone who is a consistent threat to put the puck in the net.

Cool Re: Isles lose 4th straight

Now Nolan is benching Robataille and trying Bates with Satan and Kozlov

Quote:
"By shaking it up a little bit, sometimes it works," said Nolan, who also put Chris Simon on the first line and Arron Asham on the fourth. "We have to get Satan and Kozlov going a little bit. Bates is responsible defensively and also gives enough speed to generate some things offensively. There's no discredit to Robitaille, but it wasn't working."

I was waiting to see if yashin would fall off.
two goals in 30 seconds makes for a great minute of hockey, hm?

Cool Re: Isles lose 4th straight

Make that 5 straight with a loss at NJ. And they scored with 15 seconds left to make it 4-3, again, too little too late. While there were some defensive lapses, Yashin did nothing again. They better be careful or they'll be out of the playoff hunt.
