Giants Beat Pats, End Pre-season Undefeated

The New York football Giants ended the pre-season undefeated, after beating the New England Patriots, 31-24. The big news about players for the Giants is the tremendous play of Brandon Jacobs and Mathias Kiwanuka.

Jacobs had two touchdowns and rushed for 130 yards in the first half. He looked like a man on a mission. Kiwanuka meanwhile, against the Pats second-team defense, had a sack and showed his explosive speed and elusiveness.

The Giants will open the 2006 football season 10 days from tonight, as they welcome Peyton Manning's Colts to Giants Stadium.

So does it look like Jacobs will take more than goal line carries away from Tiki?

Yes. Tiki has been supportive of increasing Jacobs' role in the offense. Not only can Jacobs be a power back, he has amazing speed and agility. Add to the fact he's improved his blocking (he's been great protecting against the blitz) and he should see a lot of time.

I am tempted to pick him up for a few fantasy teams...tempted...cause he'll get you 6-8 TDs...the rest is bonus...
