G-Men defeate Jets, Remain Undefeated

The Giants defeated the Jets, 13-7 in New York's annual pre-season meeting between the two teams. The Giants first team units didn't look outstanding through the 2 and 1/2 quarters they played. Eli Manning completed half of his 20 attempts for over 100 yards but threw one interception. The lone offensive score of the game came in the 2nd quarter when Brandon Jacobs scored on a one-yard run.

The Jets scored in the fourth quarter after blocking a punt, the ball was returned to the endzone.

The Giants end the 2006 pre-season next week at home, versus New England (where it's assumed no Patriot starters will see playing time).

This is a huge thing for those who drafted Tiki Barber in fantasy. Nothing is worse in fantasy football then when you're RB races all the way down the field, gets knocked down at the 1, and jogs to the sidelines. I won't draft Barber in any of my leagues because of that.

Last year Tiki had what, 6 or 8 rushing TDs? It's a known problem with getting Tiki in fantasy football. However, the fact that he's a threat in the receiving game more than makes up for it. Constant among total yardage leaders is nice Even if you sacrifice 5-8 rushing TDs per year.

Remember also, Jacobs is figuring to be more involved in the run game this year too.

Ditto, Tiki still gets you +1500 yards form scrimmage...I rather have that and let the TDs fall where they may...but while we are on it...Tiki had 11 TD's last year and 15 the year before...those are solid stats for any back in the league...He still rates jsut below the big three...

Anyway know which way the wind will blow in the Jets running back by committee...and what happened ot my boy Clemens?
