The local papers and G-Men blogs are wondering about the status of weakside LB Carlos Emmons. He hasn't played or practiced in some time due to a neck burner. He expects to play on Friday night versus the Jets and return to practice earlier than that. However, some wonder if his roster spot will be waiting for him towards the start of the season.

Could he be cut? I wouldn't deny it because he's usually been hurt since coming to the Giants two years ago.
