Giants @ Ravens Pre-Season

Tonight in Baltimore, the New York Giants play their first pre-season game. Eli Manning is expected to play some of the first quarter, as are most of the starters. LaVar Arrington will not play and I don't think Shockey will either.

Boy, seems like just yesterday it was the draft.

Re: Giants @ Ravens Pre-Season

The Giants won with a last second field goal, 17-16. The first team offense/defense didn't look too good against the Ravens first team units. Of course the Giants were playing with out many starters (Strahan, Tiki, Shockey, Snee, Arrington, and Emmons).

Mathias Kiwanuka did well with the pass rush in the 2nd half and chalked up a couple of sacks.

One of the guys fighting for a special teams return job, Michael Jennings returned a punt for a 52-yard touchdown. He's one of the fastest guys around according to most reports.

Jared Lorenzen led the 3rd-team Giants offense down the field for a 62-yard, 16 play drive. It ended with Jay Feely kicking the game winning, 29-yard field goal.

Thankfully, no injuries to talk about. Next game is Thursday night, at home, versus the Kansas City Chiefs.

Keep an eye on this kid. He's going to have a solid rookie season this year, no doubt about it!

Cool Re: Giants @ Ravens Pre-Season

It's almost impossible tough to judge a team from the pre-season. Even when regulars do play, it's usually only for one quarter, tops.

Re: Giants @ Ravens Pre-Season

the giants were sloppy, and their starters looked horrible. But the one thing Carl Banks said was that they havent had a scrimmage game yet and the ravens had one a few days prior with the redskins. So hopefully they will be good in the 4th preason game

Preseason/Training Camp + 50 Cents = 50 Cents

The preseason is just a time you hold your breath that your players dont get hurt for september. Its stupid and near useless.
