After the miraculous catch in Super Bowl XLII David Tyree has had a great off season.
He has made tv appearances, often posed with a football on his head imitating the 32 yard reception he made on the Giants winning drive against the Pats.
He even has a book out, "More than just a catch", which tells of his off field personal struggles.
What the hero doesn't have is a guaranteed roster spot.
Arthroscopic knee surgery in the off season has kept him out of practice. With starters Plaxico Burress and Amani Toomer firmly entrenched in their positions and with youngsters Steve Smith, Sinorice Moss and rookie Mario Manningham available, Tyree could be on the outside looking in during a battle at wide receiver.
