Will Giants repeat as champions?

At the Oval office, Tom Coughlin said, "I hope its not a once-in-a-lifetime experience."
The Giants have been basking in the glow with appearances on Letterman, Regis and Kelly and even Ellen DeGeneres. Tom Coughlin got a rich new contract after his job was in jeopardy in December.
Its tough to repeat and the Giants know it. Only two teams the Patriots, and the Bronco to repeat Super Bowl championships since the salary cap/free agency era started in 1993.

Can they repeat?

Re: Will Giants repeat as champions?

Well, I don't think they've lost anybody major (pending Strahan, who is probably eminently replacable at this point in his career). I'd say that have a better than average chance of repeating. They're not a lock by any stretch of the imagination, though, and the Giants historically have suffered a major drop off in post Super Bowl seasons, so... put me down for a definite maybe.

Re: Will Giants repeat as champions?

I don't see why not. I mean I was going to be happy with the Giants going 8-8 in august of last year. At no point during the regular season did I think they were going to be Super Bowl Champions. Did anyone honestly? I wouldn't say they're the favorites to win it all but I think they're right up there.
